Info A photograph by Nadar, the most famous French portraitist of the end of the XIXth century. Unfortunately, it's not the most interesting one, Hugo is quite old here and looks tired. --Eusebius (talk) 12:05, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Info Hugo looks in a better shape here, but the reproduction could probably be better (or maybe the dots are due to the different photographic process). This one is a crop from a larger photograph (which we don't have in good quality). --Eusebius (talk) 12:10, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Info No altar is shown here, it is a rood screen separating the nave from the stalls and the choir, at about 2/3 of the building's length. The inner space of the cathedral is partitionned and one cannot have a full view of it. This picture is obviously focused on the vaults (which can be seen as a problem), since they are common to the whole building and visible from everywhere. --Eusebius (talk) 10:06, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I was not opposing your remark. And what about this one? Framing is better, it gives a good idea of the atmosphere, but shows mainly the stalls (line of sight is more limited). --Eusebius (talk) 13:10, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
