I would agree, but that's not the approach followed in the parent categories. Category:Road transport in Ireland has got Category:Road transport in Northern Ireland as a subcategory, and the same happens once and again if we go up the try. - @Alavense: I think that's not the approach I recommend for regions like Ireland. Actually, there's a consensus in the past that region categories should be created only if there are regional content that spread beyond administrative borders (see the CFDs at Category talk:Americas). - I also agree that the normal format is "X in Ireland", "X in the Republic of Ireland" and "X in Norther Ireland" though in some cases "X in Ireland" may be enough. Crouch, Swale (talk) 09:29, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
