Masked trogon (Trogon personatus temperatus) male
I concur. Argasidae I believe. Needsmoreritalin (talk) 22:30, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Argasidae seem to be mainly Asian family. The trogon is a big bird, so it would be a huge tick. I don't think I can add it to the Ixodida article till we are more sure. Anyone? Charlesjsharp (talk) 08:41, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Huge ticks are not surprising to me. I could find ticks as big as my thumb nail on my cat if she had been out in the forest on one of her long treks over a few days. This one (unfortunately) looks very familiar. --Cart (talk) 14:48, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
