Deleted on enwiki. This file was uploaded by someone claiming to be the artist, but its been published on the internet before and is from a specific known artist, so we need OTRS verification of their identity. ~ Rob13Talk 07:20, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- Keep. 1) The reason why it was deleted on en.wp is because it is now available on Commons, so that's not an argument for deletion from Commons. 2) On his official website, the artist refers to the en.wikipedia article about him, to which the user contributed. One would think he would have complained if someone else had misused his name and his works there. Commons even has a category of his works. His identity hasn't been disputed. Although one may say that ideally it would have been better to initially have asked a very formal declaration, I don't think it's a good idea, in this type of situation, to display special zeal to delete stuff for which available facts indicate that it is almost certainly legitimate and free. -- Asclepias (talk) 22:52, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
