This is a template for writing text in the Yiddish language, but it's unnecessary. The common code for Yiddish in Wikimedia projects, and elsewhere online is "yi". "ydd" was used in the past, but it was never supposed to be necessary. The template was used in the description of a few files, and on all of them it was used incorrectly, so I removed it. Amir E.
